摘要:
气道平滑肌肥大、增生、力学性质和排列方向改变发生于许多慢性呼吸系统疾病中,引起气道内应力环境发生变化,成为导致气道狭窄的重要原因之一。本研究基于人体气道解剖结构,构建带有螺旋平滑肌层结构的气道三维有限元模型,并采用数值模拟的方法来研究平滑肌性质和排布变化对于气道在收缩过程中力学行为的影响。结果表明,气道内壁和平滑肌层在气道收缩过程中承受较大的应力;病理条件下平滑肌细胞数量和质量增加都将直接导致平滑肌层受力增大;平滑肌刚度的增加同样会引起该层组织承受更大应力;而在同等条件下,平滑肌细胞排列角度增加则会降低平滑肌层的应力值。
Abstract:
Airway smooth muscle (ASM) hypertrophy, hyperplasia, and mechanical property and orientation alteration occur in many chronic respiratory diseases, which will lead to airway stenosis. In this project, a three-dimensional finite element model of airway with spiral smooth muscle layer was constructed based on the anatomical structure of human airway, and was adopted to study how smooth muscle properties and orientation change could affect the mechanical behavior of airway during airway contraction. The results show that smooth muscle layer and inner surface of airway bore higher stress. 〖JP2〗Stress on the smooth muscle layer rises when the layer is thicker under pathological conditions during airway contraction. Increase of ASM stiffness also results in greater stress on the tissue of the layer. Under the same condition, the stress on smooth muscle will decrease when the helical angle of smooth muscle cells increases.
